My father found this years ago in Northern Wisconsin not far from Fifth Lake near Monico in Oneida County. All I have is pictures since it's not in my immediate possession and I have one other photo. Family rumor is that wild rice harvesting took place at lakes nearby and it may have been a mashing tool used in wild rice harvesting by the Ojibwe or Sioux tribes that traditionally inhabited the area. That's the speculation. Then again it may be simply naturally made this way.
