Shipwrecks
I’m on orders for two weeks in Great Inagua, Bahamas and have heard of an area where there’s a bunch of cannons spread out on a commonly spearfished reef. Anyways I found this area a few days ago and got some footage of the cannons. I found an anchor head there that we were able to get on the boat which weighed about 50lbs. We did some more spearfishing yesterday near the site and I found a corroded nail which looks to be some sort of brass or copper alloy. I also read a shipwreck book which describes a French warship that had to jettison all of their cannons off board to get off the reef. Was wondering if my assumption is correct in that these artifacts are in fact from that ship? I’ll post some pictures and answer any more questions on whereabouts and such. Thanks

Have you notified the Government that you have removed artifacts? Have you entered into a salvage agreement with the Minister?
Fox Hill Prison is not where you want to spend two years at.
Here are the forms you need to fill out:

Cannon are off limits and would not touch them and the reason they are still there.
Anchor is a fisherman and too small, I see you have no knowledge of preservation and will end up with nothing but a pile of rust.
Great Inagua is nothing more than a salt production site for Morton. https://www.livingoceansfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Bahamas_Atlas.pdf
If you have made it to Hogsty Reef then the only entrance is the south west corner. Many sailing ship have come to grief on the reef.
