Any difference between the White's 10" DD that came on my MXT All PRO and a 10" D2 ?

I can't find a retail price on the coil that came on my MXT All Pro. It's a White's All Pro 10" DD Search Coil. All I see retail on say White's 10" D2 coils? :icon_scratch:
Thanks!

Yep what fella said, its a D2 coil. HH

Thanks! So, I guess you can't buy a 10" DD coil with the same label that comes on the coil on the MXT ALL PRO, that says "White's All Pro 10" DD Search Coil." That's odd?

If the difference is just in the sticker I don't see why one would like to purchase one over the other....

Hi Norbyx,
I tried all manner of finding a White's 10" DD coil, by Google Searching "White's All Pro 10" DD Search Coil" In every case, all I found was the D2. Must be the factory sticker on the ALL PRO detectors that go out, is not the same sticker used on the individual coils? I see no other explanation?

It's the same as the 300MM coil that came with certain whites detectors, its just a super 12 coil with a different sticker. I try and run +2 gain with my MXT as any higher and you might not hear those really deep whisper targets and with the 10" DD coil or D2 same coil, you might not want to always run that hot if your in a bad EMI area. HH

My soil is basically sand. The 10" DD can hit my 10" deep quarter hard, that's only been buried since Jan 20th 2014
But the ID does not lock on quarter numbers. The 9.5 and my 9" open/spoked spider coils, just make a slight sound over that quarter. It was a measured 10" hole, cut with a thing pipe--driving it into the ground and pulling a plug out. Then I emptied the dirt out of the pipe-put it back down the hole and dropped the quarter in. Then banged it down tight with a wood dowel.
I've wondered if I didn't knock it down to 11 or 12"-or even had it turn on it's side?
I had pre-soaked the soil for an hour too-with a slow running garden hose.
I may dog it up and re-do it?

Well now you know... Btw the D2 coil is the best coil you can use on the MXT, actually it has been designed over that coil. Apparently whites promoted the detector with other coils for a matter of cost. Now they have finally decided to in include it in the all pro package...

I wouldn't even count some target that's not been in the ground all that long, I've had silver dimes at 11 to 12" before that the detector wouldn't pick up after cutting a plug and disturbing the soil matrix, the first time I dug one is because it sounded such a good deep whisper target that I went ahead and pulled out about a foot of soil and found a silver dime. I've found a few deep ones that I probably would have passed up in the past and those deep whisper targets can be some old coins, I'm sure like you said your ground is a whole lot different down there with all the sand. The MXT was actually designed to be used with the Eclipse DD 6x10 coil. Well before the D2 was designed.

You are 100% correct, my bad, I got confused with the 10x6... Oh well sometimes it happens. Thanks for the correction.

I had both the D2 & 6x10. The 6x10 was much smoother w/better ID and WAY better balanced. The D2 was easily the deeper.
Both good coils.

Just to be sure I emailed and asked White's if the MXT All Pro coil and the D2 were the exact same coil. They wrote back and said "YES" I just wanted to be sure! :-)

No doubt - just like the 9 1/2" coil on the M6 is the same as an Eclipse 950

Sent from my BNTV600 using TreasureNet

And eclipse same as the dfx multiple harmonic wide band coil....
Or the super 12 coil also called the 300 coil....

Only difference is the sticker, the ALL PRO just comes stock on the MXT all pro. I also have the ALL PRO coil for my VX3
