I had to sideline for awhile, too much quarreling, brand defensiveness, and seeing certain people waging war on others. It got to be too silly for me after awhile..

No experience here with one -

they just hit the scene recently but there doesn't seem to be much to them so I wouldn't hold my breath on them being a high mineral. salt, black sand, etc. machine.

The coil design they use may help somewhat but unless it has a built in salt mode - I wouldn't put much faith in one.

HH and let us know if you get one and how it does!

I'll let everybody know Lonewolfe. Thanks for responding..

The search coil is reportedly designed as both a DD (and) a concentric coil. Its coil is made by the notorious people who design and sell EXcellerator search coils. I'm wondering it it is like my CZ, works equally well in both salt AND standard modes on high black sand/salt beaches.

Thanks again for the heads up.

It turns out that the EDS winner is much like a Tejon, but on steroids. But it like the Tejon cannot handle black sand well, nor salt beaches, and it has even greater troubles in cancelling iron. I think I'll pass on it. Now the Deep Tech is starting to sound more interesting to me.. All I'm waiting for is a lower price..

I've had my Detech EDS about 2 weeks. Upgraded from an F2. The only comparrison was my front yard, which I had hit with a 10 concentric coil on the F2. I found a mercury dime and a buffalo nickel with my detech 9" coil. I went to a new location last week and started taking a spade with me, because the targets are 8 or 9" deep. The detech hits on very small aluminum and copper. I found a gold colored ring just under the grass, but it had no markings. I dig everything it consistently hits on, and do miss the digital display of the F2. Its definately slows me down as far as area I cover, but don't feel like I'm missing potential good targets.
