Went out in the freezing cold to work the 1850's school yard. Did I mention it was cold? After the first 10 minutes I had to start the car and turn up the heat. After about a half hour I could feel my fingers again. The sun came out and the wind died down a bit and I went back to work. I tried the Impact with the monster IM40 coil. That was a waste of time with all the iron.

Grabbed the Deus 2 w/11" coil and used the Legacy program I added last week. Swung for about 10 minutes listening for the high tones between iron. Dug a few bent nails earlier so I figured this target was going to be another. Flipped the plug and rechecked. Target was still in the hole. Pinpointer made easy work of finding the target still in a clump.

All cleaned up, look at that detail.

Next was another 80's signal, sounded good. I thought could I get lucky? Nope, bent lead disc.

Last signal before I couldn't stand the wind anymore, a 62. I thought awesome maybe another nickel. Not to be, just a head stamp.

I dug quite a few bent nails today. Usually they have a scratchy sound to them. Today they all sounded clear. Figures temps will be in the mid to upper 30's all week while I'm at work. Looks like a high of 33 next Saturday when I'm off again.

Thanks for looking...

What a beautiful Barber - that's as nice as they get - congrats ! :hello2:

And yes, I agree 100%
When ever I go out on a hunt - regardless of how long I spend in the field -
if I find any type of Silver coin or any type of 1800's (or earlier) dated coin - I had a good day !

I agree on the silver. If I am finding wheats I get excited and once I pull a silver dime I relax knowing I have already had a successful hunt.

Fan dime tastic!

Beautiful looking Barber. The Titanic had only been at the bottom of the Atlantic for a year.

Nice going. That dime is in GREAT SHAPE !!!

Great DETAIL on that coin :) Thanks for sharing with us
