✅ SOLVED Any clues on this piece?

It was slim pickings for yesterday. 1 flat button, a leather rivet, some melted lead bits and this piece.It measures 2" x 3" in. and appears to made of brass.It also has what appears to be an iron or steel stud with threads. It has a good patina on it but really doesn't strike me as being very old. Anyways, haven't hit the lottery on finds this season,but i'm not complaining. At least i'm able to get out and enjoy this addiction! Thanx, mr.b
