Any chance to get a feed back section

Jason, that's a good ideal all right & it's been brought up some time back also.---I'm all for it & do think it's really needed.-----But for right now, this is all we got & it's sure better than nothing.-----It gives vital info (feedback) on potential sellers AND buyers.---Just get your "hip waders" on & wade thru it here! ;D (for the time being anyway).---I'm with you & totally agree--a feedback section would be GREAT! -------Del

That would be nice... just a number between the persons post and his avatar and maybe detailed feedback in his or her profile.

Jon

I agree , plus it would make it alot easier to find out about a buyer or seller . :icon_thumleft:

Yeah, I like jons idea if I'm understanding it right.---That would make it even easier than trying to find feedback on an individual than scrolling down thru a feedback section that has the info you're looking for "buried" in it somewhere.------Del

Any thing would be better than sorting through all the post with the for sell stuff and feed back mixed in.

This is a good idea. Feedback posts in the classifieds area make it difficult to sift through the real ads. The feedback then gets buried and might as well not have happened.

We noticed that some of the higher ranked members have a "comments" section in their profile. If comments were enabled for all profiles then feedback specific to that user could be logged there for others to see.

Another good idea, goat! ------Del

That's a good idea, but how do you control who posts in that section? if anyone can post, even someone that has not dealt with the person in mention, some bashing could occur. I think a number just below the post number, such as "Transactions 17"... would give a general idea of whats going on. If a deal goes south on T-Net it will get some attention in the form of a post or in the forum.

Just thinking...

Jon

That's a point Jon but how do you control "bashing" whether it be on a feedback forum OR this new way that's being discussed?---I don't see that happening as much or being as much of a problem as someone being a buddy to a person comeing on with a "good ole boy" feedback (or recommendation) type post.--On the other hand, GOOD support is needed & is a desirable thing.---I guess that's where the number (FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS)) good feedback reports come in.----I wish I was smart enough to figure all this out. ;D -----You guys have some good ideas & have made some really good points on this subject!-------Del

Hi Del, i wouldn't have a clue how to implement this :dontknow: We will leave that to the T-Net Pros ;D

Jon

I've passed up detectors for sale here for $100+ less than average price. Probably nothing wrong with them but without a feedback forum or feedback rating how can we know? Please owner & moderators assure us you're not against this or explain why if you are?

I refer people to my eBay feedback but not everyone is registered for eBay & not being on eBay doesn't mean they're a crook. I'd like to refer people to my feedback on another detecting forum but assume that's a no-no, at least on site? Maybe OK in private message/e-mail?

Also, # of posts on T-Net does not necessarily equal honesty or dishonesty. HH, George (MN)

Good ideas here we need something the feedback posted in the classifieds just makes a mess out of the classifieds.

Questions For yous.

#1. How many do Multiple deals here ?

#2. how many of these Is there any Doubt about their Honesty ?

(Should I Add So Far ?)

#3. How many come here to Buy or sell Only Once ?

(Feedback would be after the Fact, Good or Bad)

Most who pull scams get Banned after all hope
of Things being Fixed is Gone;
or Run away after the deal.
so even if they come back under another name
their Profile would not
list Feedback on them.

I Do like that if somone Like (Name ommited)
came here & those who recognized the name Immediately posted.

I Do Think when dealing with somone for the first time,
it Dosn't Hurt to ask if anyone Knows them.

But when dealing with Anyone over the Internet
there is no 100% Safe deal. Way too many
things can happen.

As always Buyer & Seller "Be Aware"

Jeff I do agree that if some one is going to cheat you a feedback section would not be of a lot of use. If they have a low post count or just registered I would be a little skeptical. There are quite a few folks on here that do a good bit of trading I watch the classifieds a lot. What I would like to see is a place for folks that want to post feedback to do it. Or just say no feedback in the for sell section . It is a just mess to read through all the so and so is a good boy when you want to see what is for sell. Then if you do want to see if any thing has been posted on a seller you may have to scroll down for ever or do a search. Just put all the that a boys in one spot away from the for sell stuff would make things a lot more organized I say as I add more stuff that should really not be here with this post. Just a pain in the butt to sort through all the feedback to see what is for sell.

Jason

Well, I think it is exactly as Jeff said--there is no "foolproof" way----and the bottom line is indeed "buyer AND seller beware".----Haveing said that, I do also feel that haveing a "regular" feedback forum would be a tremendous aid and as already been mentioned--make things much more organized.-----Jeff, would it be possible that we could have a feedback forum here on Tnet?-------Thanks, Del

this would have to be Marc's Decision

I think a dedicated feedback section makes sense and would make Tnet's classifieds a better more user friendly place.

I think the main Question that Jason was addressing is the fact that the for sale forum is to clutterd with feedback and it makes it really difficult to sort through. For instance a good guy list a machine on there and in the same day you have 20 feedbacks left for other's, his listing get's knocked way down the page not really fair to him.One solution might be to start a feedback forum and put a positive counter by thier name to show how many good transactions made, just a thought.

I'll look into it - sorry for the delay.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

This is not ebay.

Our entire staff of programmers, accountants, attorneys, salespeople, secretaries, and errand girls.......

....equals ONE.

We do have a few hard working and dedicated moderators though! :icon_thumleft:

Seriously, I WILL give this idea some thought - but with a potential site sale looming, well, I will give it a 20% chance of happening... at least in the near future.
