✅ SOLVED Any Button Experts Out There?

Really not sure what I have here, but to me it looks like an old button that is missing its shank. There are no mold seams or spin markings. It looks like it did have a brass plating on it. The diameter measure around .67". Any help would be appreciated. It was found on a mid 1700's Ohio fur trade site. Finds on the site have been a mix of Native American and British.

Based on your photos and measurement, I think your guess is correct... it is a latter-1700s/early-1800s brass 1-piece "flat button" whose brazed-on shank is broken off.
