Any ax experts out there?

Here's an old ax I found. I need to try to get an age on this. I found it at a site where I also found a ring brooch (trade item). I was trying to see if the ax dates to the same age as the ring brooch and could have been lost around the same time period . Can anyone help me with an age based on this style?

I believe they started making these in the late 19th century, and you can still find some at yard sales.
