Picked this up today for $8, any thoughts on age and value? No writing, anywhere. Backing was crappy water stained cardboard that I replaced. This is about 2 feet tall and a good 30 pounds. A little bit of rust at the bottom.

Thanks!

Looks modern to me

BTW You are not wearing pants ! Oh my!
Reminds me of this

I have shorts on, I promise! LOL

The mirror has the appearance of being pretty old. Its hard to photograph but it has that "silver" appearance.

However if I can get $250,000 on Ebay for the mirror - I will show some skin!

I could stand the embarrassment for a quarter-mil, but I don't think a naked view of my sorry naked bod would yield such a payday!!!

I'm pretty sure my nudity would detract from the cost of the mirror!

99.9% positive that is not an antique. I have many antique mirrors and none of the back fasteners look anything like that. My brother has a forge and it is fairly quick to twist that wrought iron out like that. My guess is made in Mexico. Most antique wrought iron is very ornate with hammered leafs and such. The glass was worth more back then than the frame. The glass alone is very heavy also.
Nice buy for 8 bucks though!

Just saying... I have seen stuff like that for sale at Home Goods and other home furnishing stores. Looks modern.

This isnt from Homegoods. The streaking of the silver oxide behind the glass reminds me of other mirrors Ive seen that were 50+ years old. Maybe this was made in the 60's or 70's and not the 20's that I hope, but I am very confident this wasnt made in the past 20 years.

Yeah, probably just vintage. If it was an antique, the glass itself would be a giveaway to that. Looks like a good candidate for the antique mall. The new similar ones sell for around $100-$200 retail. I would think $50 would be a good "sell pretty quick price" if you can get rid of the rust without disturbing the rest of the finish. Anything between $50 and $100 should be a decent price. Mirrors are expensive.

My thoughts as well. I'll probably put it up there for $85 and see what happens. I'm going to ask the owners of the mall too, they seem rather informed on antiques/vintage items and might have some insight on pricing.
