I went to a church rummage sale Saturday morning and seen this in the bottom of a box of modern cooking and eating utensils. I did not see the word Sterling but recognised the Lion hallmark so I gave the lady a buck, when I got home I researched all the marks from a link here on a previous thread and identified the marks as Sterling, made in London in the year 1786 with tax paid to King George III. I couldn't quite make out the Makers mark though.I have never seen a spoon with a strainer on it like this one. The spoon weighs in at 114.6 grams. I recognised the Lion hallmark because of what I learned on this site! Thanks to all who have posted their finds and info! Good luck.............Scott.
