Did a couple hunts this past week. I found this nicely decorated silver ring at an old ballfield. No markings but tested positive for silver. Also a copper thingy that was identified on What Is It as a sash buckle missing the pin.
There is a clear cut near my home where construction is about to begin so I went and detected where there used to be a home on the lot that showed up on Historic Aireals in 1965. Most of the stuff I found was from 40s-60s. Found an Indian motorcycle tank logo that is from the 40s. There were broken bottles everywhere. Some of the broken ones were early 1900s and in very cool shapes and in all colors. Unfortunately the dozers destroyed them. Must have been an old bottle dump/pit they uncovered while clearing the property. I did find an older cork stopper top type that wasn't broken. Can anyone give me an estimated year on that. No markings on it either. The small bottle has screw top lid and has writing on it. It was broke in two but I took home just to see what it said. I guess whatever was in it you mixed with sugar and water for a drink. Maybe it had tea leaves in a bottle instead of a bag? Only found a couple clad coins there which was disappointing but may try again this weekend before it's all covered up.
