Hi thank you in advance for your help. And Happy Sunday. I am trying to find more information on this antique decanter. It does have marks under the handle. What I could make out that it was made around 1887 in Birmingham by Frederick Elkington and has the silver mark of the lion? I’m trying to find like this and cannot come across anything like it? Was it used for wine, water or liquor? And I have read that back then they used gold flakes to give it that red color? Beautiful silver grape design. I’ve never seen one like this. It’s 12 inches tall.any help is appreciated.
