Antique Vessel with Persian (?) Writing

Large (11 inches tall) VERY detailed design / patterns on this tinned bronze vessel - there isn't one are that hasn't been worked / carved. How old is it? Where was it made? What type of writing is going around the neck area?

It appears to be a Hindu water pot (lota).

Do a Google image search on 'pooja Lota' or 'Gangajal Lota'.

IMO yours does not appear to be significantly old nor hand worked. The images depicted on it just don't seem right to me. But don't take my word for it.
