81 year old man I know that lets me go through his bottles had this under a canvass tarp in his shed. He said he has had it since he was 7. Its steel, has no stickers, no makers mark that I can find, no patent #, and no logos. Any ideas on a maker or year, value?

Seems like it would have been exspensive given the demand for steel during the war. I do know he comes from a wealthy plantation family outside of chas, sc
