I searched and searched and the closest uniform I could find that even looks like the one posted is a German (Prussian) uniform/s from the mid and last half of the 19th century.

The uniform called the Waffenrock varies slightly in details from different units, and they all had shoulder straps which your's lacks, but they could be missing, almost all Waffenrocks were blue, issued Waffenrocks were mainly dark blue but privately purchased Waffenrocks were almost always a much lighter blue, with the exception of those worn by the Jager (Light Infantry) which were dark green.

Nice one! Those don't turn up often so you got a very good score there. If you want to know a value on it I'd suggest posting it in the "Imperial Militaria" section on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum.

With a little more research on the website I linked you can narrow down which unit the uniform belong too, the cuffs, collar, shoulder straps (if they weren't missing), buttons, piping, etc. details have bearing on the unit the uniform belonged too, they have a wealth of info on that site.

About the best I can do is tell you that the red piping is for an infantry or Jager unit, with no other insignia there's no way to know which one....

Waffenrock (Prussian) piping colors : Red for Infantry and Jäger, light blue for Train and black for Artillery, Pioneer and Verkehrstruppen (Transportation Troops)
