antique lipstick container?

It's smooshed! But was round at one time. Without a doubt, its made of copper. I know this by the TID and the color of the metal, after I pried the small cap off the end. Under the cap is a metal cam (not copper) similar to what you would expect under a lipstick holder. It appears as if there is something inserted, under the cap. But, its to damaged to be certain. The overall length (unsmooshed) is maybe 2.5", but thinner than would be expected for lipstick. There no embossing, other than the the end of the cap. My camera can't zoom enough, but to me...it looks semi religious. Has an upside down heart, divided on half with designs on both sides and a cross at the tip.
