This one is a beauty, imho. No makers or id marks. Don't know what kind of tool (plane) it is. Is it American made or European? Age, collectibility, value. Help if you can. Thanks.
I don't believe that is a commercially bought plane, I am sure it was shopmade by a very skilled craftsman that is why you can't find any makers marks.It could be considered a work of art IMO.
That is one of the most beautiful planes I've ever seen! It's an adjustable beading plane, and was used to make a bead detail like on these boards in the pic. It's a shame the knife is gone, but wow! It's really nice! As said above, it's not a commercial plane, whoever made that was obviously a very skilled carpenter and with that amount of pride in the tool, I'd love to see what he made with it
