I've seen something similar on the farms around here... in barns. We have a old barn that had a milking machine put in in the 30's, and these were used to hold the pipe on the wall. so it could be some sort of a early conduit clamp. the pointed end was nailed into a pole or upright, over the pipe or conduit to hold it tight.
just a possibility.

It's a strap. They are driven into a wall or beam to hold pipe, conduit,etc in place. They are still used today. Tony

Yep!Exactly!!!I have driven in hundreds of them!! :thumbsup:
