Another "what is it " from today.

Found at cellar hole in central MA.,shown on mid to late 1800s maps.Was evidence of modern junk around,so might not be old.I havent a clue,buddy thought maybe went on hose of some type.Hole goes through male end but other has a nub that looks like flare end of male piece fits against when screwed in.

The male piece has hole straight through,noticed I can blow through other piece but if I thread male all the way in its hard for air to go through and as its slowly backed out the more air can go through..must have been for a sprayer of some type...maybe was o-ring on it and there is a set screw as to hold male piece solid..

Possibly from a cast iron radator heating system.

I would say this end definitely was to be inserted in a Rubber Hose or sleeve.
