Another "What is it?" for buzzgator

On behalf of buzzgator, here are his notes:

"Made it to the creek for a hour today any idea on ID?"

Found in South Carolina.

Thanks Au. minor correction the point was found in south east missouri.

I don't know what type that is. I'd say it's either Horse Creek Chert or a nice red Jasper. Did better than me today.

Rice lobed or maybe Godar?? i dont know but looks like both from pics in my central states archaeological journal... im sure somebody out there has an idea what it is.

I would call it a Benton, from the location , heat treated Crowley's Ridge chert.
Ignorant about the fossil.

Thanks for the reply ED i dont think it looks like a benton, every thing i can find points to a rice lobed. anyone else with a id please respond.
