I found this guy this weekend. He appears to have been part of a water fountain at some point in his past as his, well his thingy, is actually a small copper pipe. I thought it was funny and maybe I could use it as my avatar? I'm not trying to offend anyone so if it does PLEASE tell me! Its really no worse than what you would see in a museum right! Thats gotta be one of the oddest things I have ever dug.

My 1st wifes mother was from Belgium, and on a trip back she'd brought me a bag of coins (which I need to locate, because they're over 30 years old now), and a small keychain/penknife. There was a similar statue on the knife which I believe is well-known in Belgium. I know I will "butcher" the name, but it was something like "menicapis". If there's any members from Belgium here, you might ask them about it, but from what I can recall it's quite similar in apperance.

Absolutely love it!! Tell us what kind of site you found it at, please! He's adorable and would make a brilliant avatar.

I think it would only be appropriate if you ran some water thru' the "little guy" ;D

As long as it does not squirt at me every time your avatar pops up - I say post it.

When I was growing up my next door neighbor had a bird bath with the same looking statue in the middle. It was made out cement if I recall correctly.

Hey! What ever turns you on...

I prefer women statues myself
