I have another one for Dons book. This Jersey I found in Southern Monmouth County in some pretty harsh soil. I don't know if Don can work his magic on this one as it's in pretty rough shape! :dontknow:

I checked my survey this morning and even though the powers to be who determine rarity have the 1786 Maris 12-G at Rarity 4 (Scarce) in my survey yours is only the 4th one reported and I believe the rating is most likely higher, so congrats on finding one of the more rare varieties. Last night when I saw the photos I hoped it was one of the rarer varieties since I noticed right away there was no Coulter on your coin and most of them with no coulter are very rare except for the Maris 12-G and 12-I varieties, But still your find is rare in my records of 1100 reported finds that have been identified by variety..... Don

Thank you Don. You have to be one of the best if not the best on identifying New Jersey Coppers. :notworthy:

Don, I think your survey will re-define the rarity scales,
