Met up with Detectorfreak today for an evening hunt. The idea was to check out a new field I was shown that has a couple of foundations. Well the field was a bust. The amount of big iron and proximity to a power facility makes me think it was an industrial area at one time. Loads of trash and not one keeper between us. So we decided to work a school field on the way home and burn up the rest of the remaining daylight. Of course I got the usual clad and trash but managed a real nice ring. I was workin the baseball diamond and pickin a few coins here and there. Then bingo this beauty pops up. Never seen an opal shine like that before. Hope ya like the pics, I borrowed DF's camera. I am gettin my new camera Sunday. The inside of the ring is stamped STER with a couple other hallmarks. Luck in the hunt.
