Marx, in Treasures You Can Find, had a small mention of this, but Lost Treasure had enough so that you could actually get hold of some newspapers of the time period and get really close to the spot.
Anybody who has ever watched a bridge being built has a pretty good idea about how to salve this one.
Biggest problem might be getting permission!
What do we need? Some good plywood and framing, trash pumps, high pressure hoses, light crane. W&ET would love a story like this. If the whiskey is still in the barrells, connisseurs(is that anywhere close to correct) would pay a premium for such rare stuff.
