I had a little down time (a few hours) so I decided to put together a shadowbox for the owners of the property where I dug the SLQ (1923) last Saturday, and my first Walker half (1945) last month.
The owners have been great, and I even learned about colards while detecting at this property.
They have a few leads for me on some new spots too. :hello2:
I'm sure they'll love the relic display.
I'll sure miss that .925 silver pocketwatch cover. :-\

Thanks for looking,
MM

Well designed and excellent layout of artifacts MM. No wonder you can consistently get hunt permission in NC. HH, Quindy.

Nice job Doug. Once again you shall have Karma shine upon you. Don't come to Laporte now buddy, waist deep snow here!!!! Yikes... Be safe my friend. jgas

I'm glad to have you as a friend Doug. The way you represent this hobby is second to none. The owners of the spot you and I detected, still speak of you for giving them their display. Very nice Doug

That's a nice display. I am sure the owners of the property will appreciate it.

That looks wonderful! And, it's so very nice of you to make that for them. I'm sure they will enjoy it :icon_thumright:

A beautiful display and a beautiful gesture. The owners of the property will really appreciate the shadow box you made for them. It shows that you care about them, and respect their property. It makes me happy to know that there are still many great and caring people in the world. You are certainly are one of them. :icon_thumright:

What an awesome idea,,,Love the shadow box to preserve the finds of certain hunts, it beats the idea of tossing the items in a can... Just think of the conversational pieces you could create for that den.. Love the idea.. Great finds !!

Very nice gesture :icon_thumright:, but are you really from North Carolina and not know what collard greens are?

Great looking frame Doug, mighty nice of you to give that to the land owner.
How did you fasten all of those finds to the back of the display?
Another Honorable Mention post by you.

It's amazing how great they come out looking when you group a bunch of relics together. I can make one in about an hour now, and they will give someone joy for decades.

Thanks HB.
These are really easy to make and only cost about $15 to make. I lay everything out on the backing and then glue each piece in place one by one with clear silicone glue. That stuff sticks to everything, and even heavy items will stay in place when the display is hung on the wall. I glue the house photo down first & then work around it. Not only are they easy to make, but they are fun too.
My 3 years of art classes in high school pais off. :laughing9:
