ANOTHER NEW BEACH

I went too another new beach and my 10 yr old son came along( he really didn't want to but I didn't give him a choice). He has gone with me before but hasn't gone in awhile. When we got to the beach he started working the dry sand and I worked the low tide area. I found a quarter and nickel just sitting on top of sand and then dug a few more targets. I called him over and we started working this small area of the beach. Long story short we found $7 in clad in a little under an hour and there was still more there but we had to leave. He dug 18 dimes, sometimes getting 2 at a time in an area about 5 feet in diameter. Everything was new clad, we didn't dig one penny. He was having fun and didn't want to leave. We won't be able to get back until Saturday at the earliest. I hope this storm doesn't screw it up.

Very cool! My son will go to the beach with me, but he won't spend any time detecting. He just plays on the beach or in the water. I hope your next hunt is just as fun and productive!

Hahaha! I'll never forget the first time my son went with me. It was a terrible trip in the beginning. Snowing and cold. I thought for sure he was never going again or even want to metal detect......12 years later, he is more addicted to the hobby than I am. He is actually my hunting buddy on all trips!!! Cherish your time with him forever! And good luck on the new location!

That's one heck of a beach you found RC. Did any of those coins have any age to them? I have a feeling we're going to get whacked pretty hard by this next storm..but on the bright side, maybe it will uncover even more goodies for you. Good luck!
