Just thought I would say hello... I am from northern Indiana and just got a metal detector today. I had one when I was a kid and remember the thrill of the hunt...my most memorable find back then was a what I thought was a buried treasure in a public park. After digging for at least 20 minutes, turned out to be a rusty bucket LOL...but it was still fun. I ran across a guy that had an old Garrett American S1 detector today and he wanted $10 for it, so on a whim I brought it home. Of course I had to try it out so I spent three or four hours detecting my 2 acres...This is what I found.....
Only $9.60 to go and I will have paid for the detector LOL...but I was surprised how much I enjoyed the hunt. I think I have caught the bug and have been reading constantly all evening....Hope to be back frequently with tales of my finds. Thanks for all the info here and good luck to all....Bob
