I hit the farm at lunch again today. Yesterday I scored my slump-buster 1945 Silver Quarter, and a Wheat.
Today my new DD coil proved itself again by finding me a 1934 Buffalo Nickel, and a 1946 Wheat. "Thanks DD coil". Of course it's never easy, the Buffalo was hiding under a 3" wide root.
Most of the coins that Ridley and I have found at this farm have been off to the side of the existing 1936 home. I keep digging up old brick pieces, foundation pieces, pottery shards, etc. , so I know the original house sat in this area. My oldest coin so far on this property has been the 1874 IH that I use as my avatar.
Just waiting for fall and winter now, so I can start hitting the woods.
Not a earth shattering find today, but the last two days have shown me I have missed some of the deeper finds. Hopefully more surface soon.
