Another kind of tooth? I don't know.

Thanks for all of your help. I found another one that has me stumped. That's not too hard.

Its oval shape, tublular, and one end is hollow for some distance and the other end, which I often show as the top, is a little convex. It doesn't look like a tooth to me but I don't know what else it could be. I appreciate the help you all have given me on past questions.

Nice find! It's a giant ground sloth tooth, perhaps Megalonyx.

Xenarthrans (sloths & armadillos) have hypselodont teeth. That is, they continue to grow throughout life, unlike most mammals. Xenarthran teeth have open roots, not closed roots as with other mammals.

These teeth are fragile, and may crack and crumble when dried. Your tooth should be consolidated with the Duco cement/acetone solution detailed in another thread here.
