Even though it was really cold, I decided to go back out again to one of my favorite creeks to hunt. I just can't stay in the house right now for some reason. I think I may be suffering from some kind of disease complete with a raging fever..... I walked over four miles for the day and luckily stumbled upon this cool point. It had been laying in the water for a very long time. Check out that patina! It is a Benton point (mid-archaic) and measures 2 7/8" x 7/8". It is made from a beige/tan chert. Here's a little game. In the first pic, see if you can spot the artifact! It was one of those where I just put my hand in the water and picked it up. I honestly thought that it was a slab of clay......Pleasant surprise! Enjoy, live life fully and Happy Hunting. folks
