Another ground lip mason port 18

I thought so didn't look quite like my other one

Yeah it does have a heavy blue shine to it

Here is what I could dig up: “MASON’S / PATENT / NOV 30TH / 1858″ phrase was originally embossed on countless glass fruit jars (canning jars) ranging in age from 1858 to the early 1920s.

On the bottom “PORT” was from Port Glass Company, Muncie, Indiana (1890-1902); Belleville, Illinois (1902-1904). Plants bought by Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company in 1904, closed in 1910. Many fruit jars were made at this factory including your Mason’s jar. So the date of yours would be somewhere between 1890 and 1910.

At five bucks....it wouldn't sit on an antique store shelf around here. They would have 20 bucks on it here.

Given the condition, it appears from the pic that it MAY need a light tumbling, plus matching it up with the correct liner that has the jars embossed mark on it, and the correct lid, 5 bucks is probably the max it's wort. Its a pretty common jar.
