I was in a bar in Wausau Wi. I was looking for Blacksmith tooling. I asked if anyone had any blacksmith tooling. One person piped up and said he had a vise. I ask what the size of it was. He said it had a jaw of at least 6 inches and was huge. I asked if he was interested in selling it. He said yeah for a couple of drinks. I said could I take a look at it tomorrow, He said yes. So the next day I went over to his house and took a look at it. It was huge. It had a 6 inch jaw and was a foot high and about a foot and a half long. It said Chas Parker on the side and it was made in 1908. I said that I'd take it. And I gave him a 10.00 dollar bill. He was more than happy. I did some research on this vise. I weighs 110lbs and is a very heavy duty vise. It is in very, very good condition, for being 102 years old. When the United States knew how to make things last. The research that I found is that this vice in todays market will bring at least $600.00 dollars. I don't have any pics. Because I have't taken any.
