I found more arrow heads today as well as some other pieces. I'm not sure what some of them are like #6. All found in NW Georgia. And if someone knows the names of these types of arrowheads I would love to know.

#1 might be a Pickwick, #6 looks like debitage/ waste shard. #3 looks like a damaged scraper, #3 maybe a blade. #2 no clue. All appear to show heavy wear. On pictures you might want to use a lighter background, hard to see good detail with a background like that.

Thanks Mike. I'm learning. It s so hard because everywhere I look I see this kind of stuff and I never know what is actually an artifact and what isn't. We will see what I find today. Stay tuned. I will use a light background tonight, thanks for the tip.

Mike makes the best pics. It does look like you have something there. Finding artifacts is my favorite hobby.

Hi, I am looking for places in Georgia open to the public to search/dig for arrow heads...please help.

Nice finds, congrats...

Too late I’ve Already found them all 😃
But really you have to get permission from the property owner. Then if they say you can dig there you go. It’s very hard to get permission for just surface hunting and much harder to get permission for digging, so hard I don’t even ask about digging I’m just happy with permission for walking
