Got back out to my site I have been hunting this morning. Pulled a 1945 wheat, a token(WVM, Good for One Fare), and half of what appears to be some type of coin. I can't pull any details off the piece of coin? but the edges seem to be reeded. You probably can't see that in the pic but can feel it when handling the coin?. It is around 35mm and this piece weighs in at 4 grams. Any help with the token and the piece is greatly appreciated. Happy Hunting All!!
Forgot to add that the piece is copper. Thanks.

Did you get the peroxide very hot and use a tooth brush on it, like 1 min. in the microwave (hot.).. does it seem like lead? It looks like a funny color for silver/copper,or brass coin .. cold peroxide doesn't seem to work on my stuff ..

I'm going to say colonial period tombac/pewter button half. 99% sure, many had reeded edges.

The token is a Washington, Virginia & Maryland Coach Company (Washington, DC) bus token: bronze, 1946-57; white metal, 1958-63. The company was founded by Leon Arnold in 1926, thus the secondary name Arnold Lines. The name was changed to Virginia Lines in 1963 when the company was bought out by D. C. Transit.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. PBK thanks for the token ID. I am still trying to clean the other piece and see if I can make out anything on it. It definitely isn't lead. Only 4 grams. It IDed as a copper penny. If I figure out anything will post later.

I don't think Lead, I think Pewter/Tombac.
