I'd suggest that bracelet was silver too, but not stamped. Certainly more coins than I normally find in a day, but that's because you're in a much more populated area, I think.

I would agree that the Mark stands for India. This being so I would also say its safe to say it is silver. India is kinda famous for their gold and silver.
