:) cassie does it again. pickin out 3 cent boxes that rack in the early wheats.

In 3 boxes we accumulated 66 wheats avg 22 a box.
Not too bad at all... but the best part was the amount of wheaties. no pictures tonight its gettin a little late.

There were 19 in total out of that 66 that were from before 1940 ( what i consider early )...

1911
1917
1917D
1918X 2
1919X2
1920
1924
1925X2
1926

then various 1930s... but no 31S... :BangHead:

all in all very happy with the day. found out i could have made alot of money on the 1936 KGV possible dot cent.. look at my other post. Anddddd got a job within 5 minutes of walkin in a store.

hope you all had a good start to the week and happy hunting:)

Overall a great day for you! You did much better than LSU did!
I am glad to see your cent boxes pay off. I do not have the patience for them, but enjoy reading about your finds. Maybe I will crack a box or 2 open when I cant find my halves-
Good luck out there

thanks man. when your budget is tight you do what you can. and to feed the addiction for less then a hundred bucks anything will do.. hahah even after bank hours are closed and you get rolls of nickels 3 or 4 at a time from gas stations you know . funny to think about but the truth. found a few 38s and a silver a few times.

hopefully they turn out well for you halfs come a lot less frequently here so i take what i can... which is the entire stack of cent boxes at my banks:)

Re: another good 3 boxes of cents tonight

Just did another box with the same code. did pretty nice :)

31 wheaties total
1 roll had 3 wheats ( 1912, 1920, 1926 )
bunch of canadians
cents from Bermuda, barbados and the Bahamas:)

early cents still rockin :) 13 total before 1940

1912
1916
1920X2
1926
1928x3

and various 30's.

I'll keep you posted on the next 2 boxes i have for tonight:)

Good job on the cents, they are fun. Do you keep the copper or are you just a wheat collector?

Jeff

i dont' really have the money right now to collect the copper. i would if it was like 20% copper to 30% copper but the boxes i've been opening have a substantial amount of copper up her in new england. I mainly collect the wheat cents and anything odd or foreign. when i dump them i usually end up only bein short about a dollar.. where as if i kept the copper ... from one 25 $ box i'd be sitting here getting 10 dollars back from the zinc's i dropped off.
