This button is flat and the size of a nickle
The button is made of brass or copper with gold guilt.

The words on the button
CORNHIL


That is all I can make out; anyone have an idea a time period for this type of button?

Cornhil... thats a street in London... lemme see what I can find.

Update: I can see the word London on your button... I think the company's name starts with an "S"?

Can you take a direct overhead picture?

You have some eagle eyes.

It says London and i see an S ? E ? & co
It also has a cross and I think i see a IM below the cornhil and broken part.
I took a photo from above but it just don't show up.
I broke out my magnifying glass
