JG,

You be very, very careful....you might get good at this and find... the Mother Lode....great work.....Gary

LOl I wouldn't complain iffn I found the LDM and any other treasures. The dude who found the spanish ships was also from Indiana. what was his name anyways?

Way to go I hope I hope you do find a mother lode

Dig until your arm falls off

Congrats!!! My fisrst indian head wasn't in great shapw either. HH

Great find at least the reverse looks good & with a little work the front may get to be presentable .....Good luck

all I did was use soap and water. Thought cleaning them was bad? What would make it clearer?

I never use water on IHs, only a toothpick to get the crud off. Water can ruin coppers sometimes. I've found plenty that looked toasted but it is just caked dirt & crud...

That is awesome Jeff!Congrats to ya my friend. I'm hoping to find an old coin like that some day but only bad pennies turn up,heh heh.

Try soaking it in a olive oil for a day or so.It seems to work out great for mine.

Congrats! My luck is bad I found a 1754 KG a 1917 Half Dollar. Not a single IH or 1800s any coin! One of these days I will get an Indian I hope or any 1800s coin to fill that century gap between my oldest finds ;) HH !

Olive oil works great in the feet too! lol!
