Another First-Not valuable But It's Still a First

I haven't hunted much over the last week because I've been sick.
I managed to go out yesterday and dig a bit but the heat got to me after a while. Heat NEVER bothers me. I guess I wasn't as "well" as I had assumed.
I was hitting the sidelines of a soccer field where the spectators congregate in the hopes of scoring some jewelry but alas, it was not to be that day.

Anyway, I dug another ton of clad (as well as trash) but did come across this:

Disney Hollywood Studios Rolled Penny 001.JPG

It's the only unusual thing I came across.

It's one of those rolled/pressed pennies from Disney Hollywood Studios. I guess it's been underground for a while given the fact that a few characters from the movie "Cars" are depicted on it. Then again, maybe I'm wrong about that. I really don't know much about them. I guess I'll throw it in with my token collection.

Either way, it's the first one I ever dug up.
Hopefully I can post something better next time.
I guess we can't always have great hunts but I still had a good hunt.

That's all folks.

nice, in fact cool find

Nice digs and thank you for sharing those pictures

Every dirt plug we dig is a moment full of anticipation. Never know when you pull a coin from the early 1900s or even 1800s, or a cool find. Thanks for sharing. Hope you get well soon.

That's a neat find. I mostly coin shoot and when I find something like a token or button I like them a lot. Congrats!

On a whim I actually looked this token up.

It's from Disney World's Luigi's Garage. No big deal. It did travel about 1200 miles to end up where I found it. That's kinda' cool.

The upside is, they actually retire these tokens eventually and then people actually pay decent money to collect them. (one born every minute right??)

Right now it's worth between 1.25 and 3.00, which is better than I expected. People like the copper ones over the zinc models of course.

So maybe there is hope for this find for my kids or future grand kids. Who knows, it may one day be worth 5 or 10 bucks. If someone needs it to complete their set they may pay a premium. I believe there are 4 different designs in this set.

It doesn't matter though because realistically, I never sell my finds. I like 'em too much. Of course, if I find something really huge, that can always change.

Congrats nice finds!

No bling for me either, just clad. I like those pressed pennies.

As a member that finds lots of non valuable items, I completely understand how you could like your pressed penny. As long as we are satisfied with our finds, it doesn't matter what others think, right? Congrats to you:icon_thumright:
