Well I had been hunting a few weekends ago and dug this Drum badge, about a half mile from the Virgin Confederate Campsite. And the funny thing is I went to civilman1'a house the following weekend and showed it to his wife, we all thought it was a womans pin or a kids badge. The up turns johnnyblaze with one exactly like mine, I never would have thought it was a Civil War period piece.

So after Joe aka civilman1 called me to tell me what I had and the fact that I had left it at his house, well we all got a laugh out of the fact that I had left it at his house, and that he was holding the badge for a ransom. Too funny.

Any how I do not want to steal johnnyblazes thunder today, but After Joe informed me I thought I would go ahead and post it.

And Joe that cap gun is awsome, compared to what it was to what it is freakin awsome.

Say ... I have seen that cap gun someplace before! That drum is awesome.. as is the one from Johnnyblaze. Interestingly enough, I had seen something similar on ebay a while back. ..a home-made version of the same. Take a look!

The cap gun is Joe's I found the handle part, he found the barrel I just included that picture because I like the gun and wanted to give Joe accolades.

rgr that. The badge is pretty cool looking in person it still has some of the silver gilt on it.

Just for curiosity sakes, is it cast brass?

You are not stealing anyone's thunder. Great find.

Yeah, I remember you cleaning out your pouch and you threw it up on the top of our trash can and headed out to hunt. None of us new what it was. Sure am glad Joe keeps EVERYthing. :laughing7: Now that Blaze's made banner....the ransom has gone up! :laughing7: JK. It is in awesome condition - Congratulations on a beautiful piece!

As far as the gun goes - it looks beautiful - Creskol did an amazing job restoring it. :headbang:

A six pack should do it as far as the ransom goes :evil5:.

Just let me know when I can stop by and pick up the drum badge.

And good luck at the DIV, and have some fun too.

Nice find

The education everyone is getting from these posts is the greatest part of all this..

And the Archies think we are all stupid poachers :icon_scratch:

Thanks, looking forward to DIV for sure. Give Joe a call, you're more than welcome to come by and get it whenever you'd like. ;D
