✅ SOLVED Another find at the Blacksmith Shop..Wagon axle--Plow Harness????

I believe what you have found is part of an old wagon that holds the box insert.

It looks like to me that you have the metal remains of a double tree. The wood has rotted completely away. The photos show what one looks like, and how they were used. I call it a "double tree," others call the same thing an "evener."

Yup, I see it with your photos. First glance looked to me like a double tree. Long look doesn't hold up.
