This time i didn't say roman, but it is. We recently discovered a roman villa and had only one day to check out if it's worth the ride. Farmers start planting here... I say it is a virgin site. Just three hours with a buddy. My buddy got 8 roman coins and half of a silver ring. I got 7 coins and my first complete fibula/brooch in working condition. Tons of nails, lots of pottery and the house burned down at least one time, two coins were in a fire. Good signs! We'll hit that site after harvest for sure.

LOL my old biology classes got me. To me a fibula is a leg bone.

good lord man, you must have a chest full of old coins. the oldest I have is 1882
my imagination would soar about those coins and their history

That is a beautiful Fibula! Looks like you want to go back to that spot!!

Agreed with SS, its a 1st C AD type! nice find:occasion14:

WOW that is awesome! love the coins too

You're slipping Lu. No pile of silver just some dern old stick pin thingy. Looks like after harvest spot number one. WTG!

I have seen on TV that the old roman coins are not worth as much as one would expect. If one of you gets some cheap roman coins I would buy a couple.

Most of them aren't worth much. Somewhere was a site in the States who sells roman coins. I didn't remember, i'll look tomorrow. :3coins:

It's a diaper pin from the little brat that later lost all his parent's coins!

Thanks all! Can't wait for harvest on that field but there are still a couple other options!

Way to go on the Romans. I like the Constantine/she wolf coin!
