Another detectorist hits it out the park BIG TIME.

very lucky guy

Nice finds!. Strange they didn't say how many coins he found.:icon_scratch:. Seems to me it wouldn't take many to reach 10,000 pounds in value. I think I'd be tempted to return with a higher end machine to see what I may have missed. :icon_thumleft:

I wondered the same thing. And yes you know there’s always at least one more!

He said he found other coins there a while back . If in the same place they will be bought by the British Museum .
I think those coins are Saxon Thrymsa and fetch from £500 to a lot more LOL each . So he must have had anything from 10 to 20 of them maybe ?
Nice haul and done by a cheapy machine , that makes a change. In this Deus World we live in !

the only way you will ever see me in a story of a hoard worth 15k is if I found 30k

WHY would he/she REPORT IT!?!?!? Ladies and Gentlemen, I will never find "anything". Just waste my years digging trash and pennies ;).

Yep, the Lobo Super Traq did the job.

Why wouldn't he? If the Museum wants it, they pay him the value. If they don't want them, he gets to keep the coins. The only way he would lose is if he tries to keep it a secret and then he gets found out. He then would lose the coins, their value, and get fined or head to jail.

Cool find, but 10k is not exactly worth reporting it.

In England, it's the law. Over here, yeah, keep your mouth shut.
