I think most the gold is going to stay hiding on me this summer. I try to concentrate on it but I keep getting phone calls! Today I go out and play in the river. I get a merc dime and a 1912 Canadian dime. Most folks know a Canadian silver coin before 1920 is .925 silver. I come out and leave my detector, weights, mask and float on the shore and walk to my truck to change tanks. Saw I missed a phone call.
Call them back and find that a set of keys took a dive off a dock in Detroit. Guy is stranded. Ok, so I tell him I will be right there. Go get my gear and load up the truck. Get to the marina and jump in. Keys are laying on top of the muck real easy to see. Come up as fast as I went down to unbelieving onlookers. Get a nice payday for that. Go back to my hunting spot and put on my gear. Some more interesting finds and the most worn walker I have ever found. Also got a 1944 Washington and a 1947 rosey. I come out and put my gear in a pile again to change tanks.
You guessed it. Missed anther call. This one was an I-phone closer to my house. So I tell them to give me 45 minutes. Again have to load up my truck and head to Algonac. This marina has clear water! They show me where the phone took a dive off the boat and I say no problem. Gear up, jump in and the phone is sideways in the muck in 12' of water. Grab it and come up to more astounded folks. Another easy payday. this place. Gives me something to do in my spare time.
