I had a couple of hours to spent at our local park again and found some clad, 1 quarter, 4 dimes, 7 pennies, what looks to be a small musket ball, and a really nice surprise about 6 inches deep. An 1875 cc seated dime in nice shape. It was better conditions than we have had for a long time. We finally got some rain and the ground was moist down to about 7 inches. I was able to dig some deeper iffy signals. Happy hunting. IMG_3028.JPGIMG_3029.JPGIMG_3032.JPG

I'm trying to imagine a city park where you could go and get a Seated Liberty coin - that really surprises me !

Sweet seated in Awesome shape!!

This is a small town, and I believe the park has been here since the mid to late 1800's. This park has tot lots and covers a large area where carnivals have set up. There was also an old ball field and local livestock shows. Picnics, family reunions, etc. You name it and this park has been used for it. There is also a bowling alley, skating rink, and swimming pool on the same property.

Carson City, very cool dime!

Your lucky, that seated is a nice coin the CC adds to it!

I wish we had parks like that! Very nice find.

Glad to hear you guys got some rain. I haven't been going over to MBurg for about a month because everything has been rock hard in town.

Incidentally, do you ever get hassled by the cops for being in the parks over there?

I think you might be thinking Martinsburg, West, Va., but I live and hunt in Martinsburg, Pa. We have no trouble with police here. I have known and am a friend of the police chief.
