Took the 'ole man out to Silver Beach yesterday, and met up with D-dub there. About half an hour later we were joined by Kimsdad and Lowbatts.

Finds are slimming out, but they're still there. All my signals were signals I would normally not dig, but since this place is known for goofy signals, I pretty much dug every signal. Ended up with 2 Merc's, 1 Canadian silver dime, few CJ toys, and a silver? part of a necklace or bracelet? No clue, but it is still pretty nice. I also found 24 greenies of which one of them is a 1895 IH. It is taking a bath at the moment, so I'll add the pic later.

Good seeing everyone, and nice meeting Etrac007.

Awesome CJ digs! Is that third one CJ for sure? Crossed bats and balls or crossed cannons from a collar pin? Pardon my eyesight!

Also, that button came out good considering what it looked like yesterday. Looks like it may have gone in a lapel, with the chain coming out from the attachment, still on the shank. Guess you'll have to find the chain from that FOB now, eh?!?

AWESOME FINDS , I LIKE THE FIRST TWO CJ TOYS. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MANY CJ WHERE FOUND. I WENT BACK THIS MORNING . FOUND ONE MERC AND PART OF A COW CJ AND A FEW GREENIES. I'LL POST PICTURES LATER!

Hey Mike don't forget the rest of that elephant!

They must have been having Cracker Jack Days festivals down there 80 years ago. Too bad we couldn't find a tin!

Hey John, any chance Pops didn't toss that Nazi button out yet? Could you get a pic and maybe someone could call it??

Were we hunting the same beach???!!!!

Amazing stuff, Jon!!!   :icon_king:

I think that button went back in the sand by the south edge where we were talking just before everyone left. Maybe we'll find it again. ;D

Oh man, that was a cool button!

Nice silver and CJ prizes Jon! I really like the horse and cowboy. Could it be Teddy Roosevelt or one of the Rough Riders?
I know what you mean about the signals there,... the only way I found my CJ's and buffs was to go into all metal and dig everything.

Ohhhh man. . . all those CJ prizes. . . I love those ALMOST more than silver :)

It sure was tossed allright. After you told him it was from the 70's he tossed it back in the sand. HAhahaha. Kimsdad....you're right. it was at the south end part of the ditch where we gathered right before we left.

Arghh! I thought it might be one from the Frank Collins' days, but it just as well could have been a WWII button. Hey, you got him good Saturday, don't let him live it down!
