Well as the Dump field is drying out & I craved something older I went to try a field I had already done. It had been sprayed recently & I hoped the dead weeds would allow me closer to the soil.

Didn't do as well as I hoped but did get a 17th century Jetton.

I like the 1930 lead duck from the time it was an allotment.

Did the usual detect back to the car routine & right on the edge of the field just before the end was my only silver - 1911 Sixpence. Always a good day when you pull out a silver :)

Thanks for all the positive comments, & I'll keep them rolling as long as my back keeps working.

I all I can think about is new land (2500 acres) I haven't looked at yet & the harvest when all my good land comes up at once. I have a 2-3 week window to make some difficult choices.

Watch this space, this year is going to be my best on record 8)

Nice digs CRUSADER... You always find the neatest things... Keep em commin...

You're have to get in line.

Maybe I should open a detecting B&B?

Great finds, as usual, Crusader..Love the duck. Do you have any info. on it?

Made of Lead & painted, by a company called Britains (still make plastic versions) from 1920-30.
