Another crazy whatizit?

I don't know why I keep finding things I cannot id oh wait I am digging up stuff that was made before I was born. Yeah that might just be it.

Anyway here are a couple of the items found last night. The house where we were was built in 1900. If that helps.

First pic simply looks like a decorative piece. screw through the top... maybe the end of a handle? (like a straight hatchet handle or a hammer) I dunno.
