Tim:
The Mint mark is under the dated side and shows a large "M" and small "o" --for Mexico City. The 1915 date is significant: The Mexican revolution had begun with the murder of president Francisco Madero and Vice President Suarez. The coinage was authorized by the generals for money to pay their soldiers and to furnish coins which were unavailable from any responsible government. Most of the silver was obtained by "mandatory" loans.
